Technology has shifted the playing field in executive search. Informed client organizations understand the big firm model no longer provides an advantage in the competition for talent. Large client rosters, by necessity, significantly diminish a search firm’s access to talent due to the “off limits” restrictions and conflicts of interest that exist among multiple offices and partners.

John R. Kiernan

Managing Director

John is entering his twentieth year of executive search and founded Management Pathways in 2003.  He has conducted over 400 search projects and partners with boards, senior leadership, and HR teams at a diverse range of healthcare organizations across the U.S.  His background encompasses assignments with academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, community-based hospitals and health systems, home care, physician groups, and innovative start-up companies.  John serves on the board of the Healthcare Leadership Network of the Delaware Valley (HLNDV), the regional chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He volunteers extensively to develop education programs for healthcare professionals.  John graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in Government.

Claudia J. Masterson

Senior Consultant

Claudia has over twenty years of executive search experience and, assisting clients in a broad range of healthcare, legal, technology and not-for-profit organizations. She brings to each project an understanding of the entire search process continuum, and is particularly skilled in candidate research and development.  Claudia began her executive search career with a national firm, and then co-founded and managed a Wayne, PA based firm that grew to ten associates. Her passion for research and broad clinical knowledge compliment her strong project management background. Claudia maintains active involvement in not-for-profit organizations, including Schuylkill Valley Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. She pursued her B.S. in Nursing at Widener University and is a graduate of Harcum College with an Associates degree in Allied Sciences.

Susan M. Goldman

Director, Career Transition Services

Susan Goldman is a career coach and human resources consultant with more than 20 years of experience helping professionals at all levels through career transition.  Her background includes key leadership and consulting roles with a global firm specializing in human capital and change management. Susan is skilled in quickly identifying stakeholders in complex organizations and leading initiatives to support business strategy.  As part of the Management Pathways team, she provides valuable support in organizational assessment, candidate evaluation, and project execution. Susan holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and has studied at the Wharton School of Business.  Susan is certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, E-CareerFit, Manager Notification Training, and Job Search Work Team facilitation.
